Jakarta 2011 - Engineering Faculty - Muhammadiyah University (UMM), won the runner-up in Bridge Contest Indonesia (KJI) held by the Ministry of Education (Events Calendar).
The event was held at the Ministry of Education and Culture, University of Indonesia 26 to 27 November 2011. This contest is a national competition held annually since 2005 under the name of Steel Bridge Competition Indonesia (KJBI). Later in 2008 changed its name to Bridge Indonesia Competition (KJI).
"The goal of the contest for UMM students themselves are not the other is to hone and train the student's own creativity," said Ir. Alik Ansyori A, MT as a coach contest KJI and PD III School of Engineering. The competition also aims to mempratikkan theory and science that have been studied dibangku applied in the form of lectures for real, so the results have been obtained it may be a motivation and morale boosters students in the learning process further.
In addition to title II national level to Steel Bridge Road, UMM as well come out as winners in the category of Bridge strongest. As for the race Timber Pedestrian Bridge, UMM won the category of the fastest implementation of the bridge assembly.
This victory was to be grateful given the opponent's face is not easy, the entire team of university in Indonesia took part in this race. This achievement would make the entire academic UMM proud.
